On the menu of this version 4.1, the very practical Audio blocks of the software have been reviewed in order to exclude certain sources, which will allow for example to record all the sounds of the system output, while indicating that you do not want to include the audio of a previously defined application. It will also be possible Quickly and easily include or exclude system alert and notification sounds from recordinga very practical option (it will avoid, for example, editing for to clean the record). The developers also got their hands dirty with UI improvements, including the ability to display a smaller interface, automation using scripts, and support for Audio Unit presets (saving and use within other software).

A toolkit for audio on Mac

As a reminder, the software is a real toolbox for audio running natively on Intel machines like Apple Silicon (however, you will have to go through Recovery mode in order to authorize the use of third-party kernel extensions for the software module ACE) and allows you to record any source from the Mac, including mixing applications and physical sources, to apply effects and plug-ins as you would within a DAW, and even to ensure the broadcast with display of the names of the pieces for the listeners. Audio Hijack 4.1 is already available on the publisher’s website at the price of 64 dollars. The update is free for Audio Hijack 4.0 license holders, and owners of the previous version can get an update for $29.
