EThis Sunday the Vuelta a San Juan kicked off, which had a simple 141-kilometre route, which led to a definition for sprinters where Sam Bennett won in a crazy sprint and put on the first leader’s jersey.
The tour did not invite many emotions. It only had two third-class ports very far from the finish line. and the escape of local runners had enough license from the peloton to be captured in the end by the teams that had interests in the faction.
At 20 kilometers from the finish line, the escape ended and the packing trains began to slowly assemble.everyone wanted the wheel of the favorite Fabio Jakobsen and a classic scenario of sprinters was set up, worse an ugly fall 8 kilometers from the finish line broke all the trains and left several runners cut with loss of time.
Those who were ‘alive’ continued to arm themselves as they could after the crash and there was a lot of disorder in the squad due to poor signaling… In the end, Sam Bennett easily prevailed over Morkov and Nizzolo to win the stage. Sagan, Viviano, Jakobsen and Gaviria (12th place) did not even appear in the scene of the definition and after the decreased packaging, several cyclists arrived behind with loss of seconds.
