This Sunday followingnoon, 6 people, including two children, were shot to death on the Veracruz-Xalapa highway, in the city of Veracruz.
At the height of the Los Carriles neighborhood, as evidenced by videos broadcast on social networks, 5 people who were on board a black van were executed: the driver, two women, a boy and a girl. They would all be part of the same family.
According to what has been reported, and from images disseminated of what happened, these people were riddled with bullets by subjects who were aboard a white van that fled following the attack.
In videos of soldiers deployed at the crime site, they are heard warning regarding said white van with “well-armed” people.
In addition, on the same federal highway but at the height of the company’s factory Maskthe taxi with the number 418 also received bullet wounds.
A man inside was reported to have died while the injured driver was taken to a hospital.
The events occurred around 4:00 p.m. when drivers passing through said area and residents of neighborhoods adjacent to the federal highway began to report the detonations of firearms to 911.
In another video that circulates through networks, four vehicles of those allegedly responsible for carrying out the massacre are observed, who are fleeing following the multi-homicide.
Until 6:00 p.m., traffic remained closed in the direction of Xalapa, while elements of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP), the Army, and the Navy activated the “Code Red.”
Municipal, state and federal authorities, up to now, have not reported people arrested for the events, while in the suburban area the red code was activated to find those responsible.
