The sub-delegate of the Government in Castilla y León, Virginia Barcones, has been received by the mayor of Cantalapiedra, Miguel Ángel Marcos, to find out regarding the projects that the City Council plans to carry out with the 492,000 euros received from the central government. Cantalapiedra has presented two projects, one of them to install solar panels to supply the treatment plant, as well as home water sampling and the acquisition of an electric van and install a charger that will have an investment of €176,000 and for the rehabilitation of the old schools and turning it into a cultural building for which 316,000 euros have been requested.
Miguel Ángel Marcos, mayor of Cantalapiedra, has thanked the granting of these aids since “without this type of aid our City Council would not have been able to undertake this type of project that is essential for us because energy costs are the highest that has the City Hall ».
Virginia Barcones has encouraged the mayors of Castilla y León to present interesting projects “that will improve the lives of the residents of the different towns following the Cantalapiedra model with interesting and innovative daring projects.”
