According to the press release from the PS, the commission, made up of representatives of the various orientation texts and meeting at the headquarters of the Socialist Party since Friday, “closed its work today [dimanche] at 3:45 p.m. following the refusal to vote by the representatives of Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol”.
Call to reason
“After examination of the minutes of the federations and study of the requests for irregularity, and while the votes being the subject of disputes have been reserved”the commission therefore ruled that Olivier Faure had come out on top with 12,020 votes (51.09%), once morest 11,507 votes for Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol (48.91%), for a total of 23,527 votes cast.
In another press release, the relatives of Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol affirm that “the outgoing leadership of our party supported by the representatives of Olivier Faure” proposed, following fifteen hours of meeting, “to stop this systematic study and until the end of the results brought up by the federations and the disputes, in exchange for a global haggling of a result giving arbitrarily the majority to Olivier Faure”.
” This is unacceptable. No democratic party can accept it”adds the camp of the mayor of Rouen, who asks “resume the work of our committee tomorrow [lundi 23 janvier] with the requested elements (minutes of sections, lists of signatures, etc.) to continue ». “We call to reason those who imagine that a forced passage solution is possible”insist the supporters of Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol.
