“Everything is a challenge, actually”: Yamila Reyna and her present as an empowered face on TVN | TV and show

The current TVN hostess became the signal’s protégé in a matter of weeks by participating in one of the hosts of the summer of Buenos Días a Todos, in addition to her work on Hoy se Habla.

2022 meant an evolution in her career for the comedian Yamila Reyna: she not only entered the program Today we talk as a panelist, but today appears as one of the most important faces of TVN in charge of the morning Good morning to everybody.

Although it is a temporary role that will end in March with the arrival of Eduardo Fuentes and María Luisa Godoy, little by little Reyna has been building her place as a conductor, a role that, as she explains, hopes to carry on.

However, in conversation with BioBioChilethe actress acknowledged that the surprise of her new role is not something exclusive to the public, but that she was also surprised by the proposal to be in charge of the morning.

“I have been doing entertainment for more than 20 years, between humor, being an actress, as well as in different programs, and that today they called me to drive the morning was a great opportunity,” he said, pointing out that there are “Many talented colleagues on the channel.”

Roberto Cisternasdirector of programming for TVN, thus describes the process that was carried out to shape the “summer” BDTA: “We made a team that is maintaining and putting the morning show, during the summer, in a position of closeness, and when We evaluated who might do this, first obviously there was Gino, who we positioned as a driver because he has the necessary attributes to do it, and we began to see Yamila”.

Regarding the Argentine, Cisternas does not skimp on praise: “The commitment, the professionalism that she has given to work in the channel has been incredible, and we believe that for a summer season she meets the attributes to generate an interesting offer from the morning. I told him: let’s try for a while, the last part of the year (2022), and it worked. I don’t program by looking at the online ratings, but I do prefer the feeling and emotionality of the people who watch those programs. She hit that tone.”

The decision was not easy for Yamila, as she would be competing with the strongest cheerleaders from the other channels: Karen Doggenweiler, Priscilla Vargas and Monserrat Alvarez.

“The truth is that I put a lot of thought into deciding whether to go ahead with animating and driving. I am a person who believes a lot in the paths of life, in what God is putting in me”, he explains, assuring that he enjoys being able to fulfill himself in different spaces.

In any case, it stands out that currently it had to rearrange its night schedules to comply with the requirement of a live 5-hour program in the morning and another in the followingnoon.

“Everything is a challenge, really. From discipline, dedication, concentration and You have to study a lot every day. You have to be on top of the machine for five hoursso it is a great job that is done as a team, otherwise it might not exist”, he mentions.

For now I am going to focus 100% on communications, at least until March, and then I’ll see where life takes me”, he highlights.

At her start on the matinee, Reyna was the subject of comparisons to other cheerleaders, as well as the target of criticism. However, to this day, she points out that she has never been concerned or affected by those comments.

“It is the complete opposite. Being compared where I am new is an honor ”, she explains, admitting that she has two references in the world of animation: Karen Doggenweiler and Diana Bolocco.

“I love Karen Doggenweiler, I love his elegance, his way of speakingbut my style is very different. I love Diana too, because I find her fresh, playful, daring. I like his modernity and that mix between humility and elegance that he has ”, she highlights.

Also, like users on social networks, different personalities from the show value their evolution in a few weeks.

Among them, the formerMe Late and known on social networks as the “Reality Expert”, Francisco Halzinki, values, for example, the performance of the actress on screen.

“The opinion and information you provide gives me to understand that He is a person who studies and prepares a lot, having not only hard data, but also certain details that allow him to contribute and address the different topics of the guideline”, he describes.

However, it also points out thatexcess momentum and energy might take its tollsince sometimes and especially at the beginning, he had a very fast pace, coming to speak above his teammates ”.

At this point, the journalist and panelist of Star ZoneHugo Valencia, who points out that Reyna still has a long way to go to be an animator.

According to Valencia, “she is a communicator on her own. But I like her more as a panelist than as an entertainer. There I see her more relaxed, more her. For me, in the morning he usually ‘dresses up’ and that has detracted from his authenticity”.

“I think she still lacks preparation to be a cheerleader, but I feel that On his way as a panelist for programs he has been growing and controlling his anxietywhich is its main defect ”, he explains.

“I think that you have to control that rush to have everything ‘now already’ is what the new batch of animators must control the most. Manage expectations and arm yourself with patienceNothing is achieved overnight”, Valencia also highlights regarding the new faces on television.

In March, “Hoy se habla” will enter a new season with Yamila Reyna as the main panelist. “Yamila has been a great ‘discovery’, in quotes, because I think she was already in an interesting place on TV before; she is summoner. She is going to be a jury at the Olmué Festival and we want to promote her”, says the director of programming for TVN.
