The bus network in Hanoi and the overhead tram Cat Linh – Ha Dong operate throughout Tet to serve the travel needs of people, but with adjustable opening and closing times.
The Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) said that during the Lunar New Year of the year 2023, the bus of the unit will still operate continuously during the holiday.
However, the opening and closing time of the wharf and the service frequency were adjusted down compared to the daily activity chart, but still closely followed the daily living and travel needs of the people.
Specifically, on January 22 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), Transerco had a total of 2,555 vehicles operating, opening time from 10 am, closing time at 6 pm.
On January 23 (the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year), there were a total of 3,743 vehicles operating, opening time from 8:30 a.m., closing time at 19:30.
On January 24 (the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year), there were a total of 4,573 vehicles operating, opening time from 6:30 a.m., closing time at 8:30 p.m.
On January 25 (the 4th day of the Lunar New Year), there were a total of 5,156 vehicles operating, opening time from 6 am, closing time at 9 pm.
On January 26 (the 5th of the Lunar New Year), there were a total of 9,348 vehicles operating, opening time from 5am, closing time at 9pm.
On January 27 (the 6th of the Lunar New Year), there were a total of 10,558 vehicles operating, opening time from 4:30, closing time at 22:30.
From January 28 (January 7 of the Lunar New Year), buses return to operate according to the weekday chart.
Similarly, for the overhead tram Cat Linh – Hanoi, on the 1st day of the Lunar New Year, it operates from 10am to 6pm; on the 2nd day of Tet, operating from 8:30 to 19:30; on the 3rd day of Tet, operating from 6:30 to 20:30; on the 4th day of Tet, operating from 6 am to 9 pm; On the 5th of the Lunar New Year, it operates from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
During the Lunar New Year, trains operate with a frequency of 10 minutes/trip. Before and following the above dates, the Cat Linh – Ha Dong tram operates according to the weekday chart.
