The coziest period of the year is really getting closer and I’m counting down like every year. Especially being together with family, having a nice dinner, reminiscing and chatting for hours on end I find heartwarming. Let’s also not forget the number of croquettes to consume: straight to my heart and tummy. What I find difficult regarding the end of the year period? The gift hunt. And the fact that all stores transform into luminous monsters while they fight a real promo and gift battle with each other. Are you still looking for one or more presents? I’ve got your back!
There is almost no escaping it: your mailbox explodes with end-of-year discounts, you may even experience gift stress for the parties on the agenda, you are constantly stimulated to consume both in the street scene and on your digital screens and you may even be afraid to give or receive useless gifts? One golden tip: compile a virtual wish list with items that you can really use. And while you’re making that wish list, or shopping for a loved one, you can also think regarding the origin of the gifts in question.
When it comes to more sustainable shopping, I inevitably think of one of my favorite local sustainable (web) stores: Supergoods. You can find it on their website a very wide palette of potential gifts: from clothing to accessories and lifestyle gifts. But to avoid instant overwhelming, I’ll give you a little start below. I selected 9 sustainable, but above all practical, gifts that can make both him and her happy. You will find all the links under the collage.
