That’s what it’s regarding

  • To finance his drug use, a man had sold heroin and cocaine and committed theft.

  • In addition to money, he also accepted stolen items as payment for the drugs.

  • The man had also not paid any maintenance for his two daughters and his separated wife for several years.

  • The Lucerne Criminal Court sentenced the man to imprisonment.

Narcotics offences, neglect of maintenance obligations, theft, receiving stolen goods: the Lucerne Criminal Court found a man (45) guilty of these crimes, among other things. Between August 2018 and June 2021, the man had not paid child support for his two daughters (14 and 9). He also refrained from making maintenance payments to his wife, who was separated from him, during this time. Overall, he had not made payments totaling 56,000 francs.

According to the judgment of the criminal court, the man didn’t bother and refused “to work on his drug addiction with the institution provided for this purpose”. In 2020, the convict had bought just over 700 grams of cocaine for just under a month and a half. He consumed almost 390 grams himself and sold another part to various customers in Lucerne. He had also bought almost 70 grams of heroin during this time. There, too, he consumed some himself and sold the rest of the heroin. With a profit of at least 5,700 francs, he financed his own consumption.

Lucerne Criminal Court sentences him to prison

The man not only took money for the drugs, but also objects: mobile phones, tablets, laptops, a gaming console, speakers or tools with a total value of around 11,000 francs, with which the man was guilty of receiving stolen goods. He also committed several thefts. For example, he stole electric scooters, a moped and a light motor bike. When fleeing a police check in Lucerne, he also hid in a garage without permission and thus committed trespassing.

The criminal court sentenced the 45-year-old to two years in prison. He has to pay around 20,800 francs in procedural costs to the criminal court. The judgment is final.
