Game ‘O2Jam Online’ suffers from user complaints

The game ‘O2Jam Online’ is suffering from user complaints.

Released on the 17th by Korean game company Bellof, this game is a successor to the rhythm game ‘O2Jam’ first released in 2002. It proceeds by pressing a set button according to the rhythm of the music.

As of the 21st, most of the game reviews posted on the game platform Steam show negative reviews. Of the total 953 reviews, the rate of positive reviews is only 4%.

The most common complaint is that the so-called ‘value for money’, which means the ratio of price to performance, is poor. Even though the mobile game ‘O2Jam – Music & Game’ released in 2019 is just moved to PC, you have to pay 15 dollars (18,000 won) per month.

The lack of sufficient inspection during the game development process is also a factor in negative evaluation. For example, BPM (beats per minute), which indicates the speed of music, is incorrectly marked as ‘BMP’, and even if you have not yet subscribed to a paid subscription, if you click the ‘Cancel Subscription’ button, a message appears indicating that the subscription has been cancelled.

Some people who have purchased a paid subscription are saying that $15 per day instead of $15 per month is being withdrawn.

Even though the latest game engine, Unity, is applied, the screen refresh rate is limited to 60Hz (the screen changes 60 times per second), which is also criticized.

People who have been playing games since the early 2000s are even commenting, “It feels like my childhood memories have been hacked to pieces.”
