Apple Watch helps women discover pregnancy complications

In yet another episode of the series “people saved thanks to products from Apple“, today we are going to talk regarding the story of a pregnant woman from California (United States), who thanked the Apple Watch for a recent release.

according to what Jesse Kelly revealed to CBS Newsshe was lying on her bed when she started to feel bad, which made her consider some causes, such as morning sickness or even her son’s gastroenteritis.

Without having made any additional effort that might contribute to the increase in her heart rate, she received some alerts informing her that her heartbeat was well above normal, but she found it strange and ignored them at first.

However, the alert still popped up at least two more times within a 30-minute period, which made her realize that something was wrong. Kelly, whose pregnancy was high risk because of her age, went straight to the hospital, where she was found to be in labor.

With her blood pressure dropping and losing a lot of blood due to a placental displacement, the woman was properly attended to and, following regarding three hours, gave birth to a healthy baby girl, which she named Shelby Marie.

Grateful for the doctors and nurses who attended to her, Kelly also thanked the Apple Watch for the alert and advises everyone to pay attention to both the watch’s warnings and those of the body itself.
