The world’s worst McDonald’s, located in Ottawa, will close after 40 years in business

The worst McDonald’s restaurant in the world, located in Ottawa, will close following 40 years in business. The problem is not with the quality of the food, but rather with the many annoyances caused by the customers in this restaurant on Rideau Street.

In recent years, more than 900 calls have been made to the police because of fights, including one involving a raccoon.

So the lease of this restaurant will simply not be renewed, reports the MailOnline.

It was the owner of the building on Rideau Street, Peter Crosthwaite, who confirmed to CTV that the franchisee had decided not to renew.

The restaurant was called “the worst McDo” by a former manager of the place. This establishment had made headlines due to a general fight that broke out inside in 2013, and went viral on social media.

In footage uploaded to YouTube, customers might be seen exchanging blows while a man pulled a raccoon out of his jacket.

Constant fights and problematic customers sparked more than 800 calls to the police in 2018 alone, forcing the restaurant to abandon its 24-hour schedule.

Despite this measure, Ottawa police reported that they still received more than 150 calls last year.
