Quang Dung’s lonely Tet in tears can’t forget

Therefore, Quang Dung decided to put away the sadness. He changed the plan, asked his grandmother and the piano teacher – the two people who often talked with Bao Nam – to share and update his son’s status with him.

Whenever father and son went out, Quang Dung always let Bao Nam freely choose what to eat and where to go. “I don’t mention my concerns or impose anything. The more children impose today, the more they will resist. Thanks to that, the father and son are always very happy and natural,” the singer said.

According to Quang Dung, Bao Nam is docile and gentle. He used to worry regarding his son being bullied at school. In everyday life, he doesn’t talk much, likes to play but is not addicted to games and has a talent for playing the piano. Bao Nam’s piano teacher is Quang Dung’s friend.

Quang Dung sings ‘Because it’s you’

At the age of 15, Bao Nam is already 1m9 tall. Quang Dung hopes his son will not grow any taller because he is worried regarding his unbalanced body. Bao Nam does not like to take pictures, even when going out with his father. Photographs of father and son Quang Dung wearing ao dai are the rare times when I indulged him.

One problem Quang Dung is quite worried regarding is Bao Nam’s Vietnamese ability. He spends most of his time at school, rarely speaks Vietnamese, so he can’t speak Vietnamese well.

Quang Dung said, Jennifer Pham does not live in the same house, but video calls and chats with Bao Nam every day. She is very close to her son’s life, even to where he goes and what he does during the day.

“Over the years, I still consider Jennifer Pham and her family as family, wholeheartedly supporting each other to raise and love Bao Nam,” the singer said.

In the Lunar New Year 2023, Quang Dung spends most of his time with his extended family, with no plans to go out. After Tet, he and his extended family plan to travel to Korea.

Celebrating the approaching Lunar New Year, Quang Dung remembers the Tet holidays in his youth. At the age of 20, he entered Saigon alone. For him, the memory of the 30th day of Tet is always tinged with sadness.

At that time, the singer rented a small apartment, lived with students. He often sits alone, thinking back to what he did last year, and then drives a motorbike alone to roam the streets of the city on the followingnoon of the 30th of Tet every year.

“Then just like that, I went through the New Year without relatives or friends. That sounds normal to many people but it was quite terrible for me in my twenties – the innocent, innocent age. I’m not too much. weak but also often cry,” Quang Dung said.

When he was no longer young, he still kept the habit of being alone on the followingnoon of the 30th New Year. Currently, he is happy when he has a family with him, his life is as full as making up for the lonely Tet holidays in the past.
