Abu Dhabi – During the International League Twenty20 match in the UAE, the ball boy entered the ground and handed the ball to the fielder. The interesting incident took place during the match between Desert Vipers and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders last night. When Knight Riders player Sabir Ali, who was running towards the boundary line, blocked the ball, the ball boy unexpectedly entered the ground and took the ball. Then he handed over the ball to Sabir Ali. The footage of the incident has gone viral.

While the Desert Vipers team was chasing a target of 134 runs, Sunil Narine bowled the ball which was hit by Shefan Rutherford in the 15th over before the boundary was caught by the ball boy. The Vipers scored three runs at this point. There was outside interference during the match but it was not considered a dead ball. The umpire awarded all three runs to the Vipers.

The Knight Riders players protested the decision but the umpires stood by their decision. Vipers won the match by seven wickets. Batting first, Abu Dhabi scored 133 runs for the loss of eight wickets. In reply, Vipers won by losing three wickets in 15.4 overs.
