(Archyde.com) – Russian-backed forces in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region said on Friday that Russian forces had captured a village near Bakhmut, a key town in the province where heavy fighting had continued.

This settlement is Klishchiivka located 9 km south of Bakhmut. Before the war, the population was regarding 400.

In Bakhmut, the Russian military company Wagner has been in a war of attrition with the Ukrainian army for months.

Wagner announced on the 19th that he had captured Klishchiivka.
