Non-Life Insurance Association “Revitalize pet insurance this year”

The Non-Life Insurance Association decided to make ‘revitalization of pet insurance’, one of the national tasks of the Yoon Seok-yeol government, as a major project this year and to improve the system. Jeong Ji-won, head of the Non-life Insurance Association, announced nine business tasks at a New Year’s press conference on the 19th, saying, “We will strengthen the protection once morest new risks in the future and secure the competitiveness of the non-life insurance industry.”

First of all, the pet insurance market will be promoted. The association decided to consult with relevant ministries and collect medical data to help develop insurance products so that standard names can be used for companion animal diseases and medical treatment. Civil safety insurance will also be established. A special contract will be established to guarantee damages caused by ‘social disasters’ such as stamp death due to crowds of people.
