Cause of deadly fire in Erlinsbach SO clarified
At the beginning of January, a major fire broke out in the Löwen restaurant in Erlinsbach SO. A mother lost her life. Now it is clear how it might have come to this.
The fire is due to human fault, as the kapo reports.
In Erlinsbach, Solothurn, the former Löwen restaurant went up in flames on the night of January 7th. The whole building burned out in the fire. The mother († 37) of an eight-year-old daughter died, as “Tele M1” first reported.

The cause of the fire is now clear: the fire started in the apartment of the deceased and is likely to be due to human fault, writes the kapo in a media release. The fire was able to spread from the apartment and subsequently spread to the entire attic. According to forensic examinations, no signs of third-party influence might be found on the deceased.
The deceased had lived with her dog in an apartment above the former “Löwen” restaurant. The eight-year-old daughter was not on site at the time of the fire. (abbot)
