The Leiva family asks to repatriate their migrant son

He has been in the United States for 14 months, but due to health problems he is homeless.

Simiris Leiva asks the national government for support to repatriate his only son who immigrated to the United States.

On his visit to scoop This Wednesday, Leiva tells that his 43-year-old son Richard traveled to Madrid (Spain) in June 2018, but due to the pandemic the work became complicated and he decided to look for other opportunities in the United States.

“He has been there for 14 months,” says Simiris, but due to health problems, the lawyer is homeless. “He wants help to return to his country, protection at the diplomatic headquarters in New York while he can return to Venezuela,” lamented the mother.

Simiris plans to travel to Caracas in the next few days to meet with other relatives and to manage the aid. He remembers that Richard sold his car and apartment for a better future and left his office in Centro Perú in Chacao. They have the telephone number 0416-618-6961 available for those organizations that can provide support.
