Pentagon asks USFK to provide equipment to support Ukraine | Europe

Theo Yonhap, The Pentagon requested the US Forces Korea (USFK) to provide some equipment to support Ukraineemphasizing that this action would “not affect” USFK’s security operations on Korean peninsula.

However, Colonel Taylor did not mention the type of equipment proposed to be supplied or how it was shipped for use in Ukraine.

The New York Times earlier this week reported that the US Department of Defense had transferred artillery shells from US stockpiles in South Korea and Israel to Ukraine because the country urgently needed ammunition support in the conflict with Russia.

The South Korean Ministry of National Defense has not yet commented on this.
