Pedrea in the south, blowing up a roof in Capital and a demolished tollbooth: what the storm left behind in Córdoba

The precipitations that were unleashed in the last hours in the province of Córdoba, with intense gusts and hail fall in some sectors, caused from power outages to the partial collapse of a house in the Capital.

Meanwhile, in the interior, a tollbooth was blown up on Highway 9 and there was an intense stone throwing in the Sampacho area, towards the south of the province.

The rains broke out in hours on Tuesday night, with strong electrical activity.

In Córdoba Capital, one of the most affected areas was Route 20, where branches from several trees fell, with no damage or injuries reported.

Meanwhile, in Villa El Libertador, a sheet metal roof was blown up in a house, without injuring its occupants.

Neighborhoods in different sectors were without power as a result of the storm and the vast majority recovered service in the early hours of Wednesday.

The storm in the interior of Córdoba

The storm hit the interior of the province hard, with the Sampacho area being one of the most affected.

There, large stones stained roads and streets white, although no serious incidents were reported.

Meanwhile, on route 9 south, a toll booth was demolished at the height of Río Segundo. No injuries were reported either.

The instability is expected to continue in the province at least until Saturday.

For this Wednesday a maximum of 31 degrees is expected.

  • Friday. The minimum would be 23 and the maximum 36 degrees, with isolated storms at night.
  • Saturday. Temperatures are expected between 18 and 33 degrees. Isolated thunderstorms throughout the day.
  • Domingo. Temperatures between 20 and 32 degrees.
