Two women robbed parishioners in the Divina Pastora procession

Those involved were prosecuted for the theft of several telephones, the illegal obtaining of which occurred during the religious procession.

A commission from the Municipal Delegation of San Juan de Barquisimeto, in Lara state, captured two women for allegedly robbing several people, who were in the Divina Pastora procession.

Officials of the Investigative, Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) found the suspects when they were on Vargas Avenue, Cathedral parish, where they reported multiple thefts.

Authorities immediately identified the two citizens, despite the fact that the police report did not specify the age of the detainees.

Those involved were prosecuted for the theft of several telephones, the illegal obtaining of which occurred when they put their hands in the bags and pockets of the parishioners gathered there. The electronic devices were intended to be sold later illegally.

One of the apprehended already has a police record for robbery and generic theft, according to Douglas Rico, director of the Cicpc.

The police process recovered several telephones and the case was brought to the attention of the Public Ministry.
