The neighbor of the box confided in Bruzz regarding this conflict. What he wants is less noise pollution but not the closure of the establishment. “The club shouldn’t close for me, I just want them to follow the law and insulate the walls. I’ve been trying to rent two flats and the downstairs cafe for years , but it’s impossible because of the noise”, he confides, explaining that a tenant left the apartment on the first day of rental, overwhelmed by the noise pollution.
The neighbor also explains that he refused a proposal from Steven Van Belle, manager of the Fuse, who tried to buy the apartment from him. “I don’t want money, I don’t want to be bribed,” he says.
All he wants is for the walls to be insulated. “It might reduce the noise by 50%. But they think it’s a waste of money and don’t want to buy the materials”, comments the neighbor of the Fuse, who reveals to have been the target of stones thrown through his window from people who support the nightclub.
