Menstrual leave to be considered in all universities : R Bindu | Kerala | Deshabhimani

Thiruvananthapuram
Higher Education – Social Justice Minister R Bindu said that implementation of menstrual leave in all universities of the state under the Higher Education Department will be considered. The one implemented in Kochi University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) will be modeled.

75% attendance is required to write the exam in each semester. However, Cusat brought an amendment to allow female students to write the exam even if they have 73 percent attendance considering the menstrual leave. If this is implemented in other universities, it will be a big relief for women students – said the minister. The minister also informed that the SFI state leadership has submitted a petition in this regard.
