Cussat Model; Menstrual leave will be considered in all universities: Minister Bindu- Menstural Leave | R. Bindu | Malayalam news

Thiruvananthapuram – Minister of Higher Education R. Bindu said that the implementation of menstruation in all universities under the higher education department of the state will be considered. Menstruation model implemented in Kochi University of Science and Technology is being considered for state wide implementation.

According to the demand of the student union, it was decided to give menstrual period in Kusat. Considering the mental and physical difficulties faced by female students during menstruation, the decision is being extended.

Students need 75% attendance in every semester to write the exam. However, the Kochi University of Science and Technology has brought an amendment to allow female students to appear for the exam even if they have 73% attendance considering their menstrual period. Minister R. Bindu said that if this is implemented in other universities, it will be a big relief for women students.
