Press reports spoke of an agreement between Real Madrid and French star Karim Benzema to extend his contract with the team until the end of June 2024.
The “Foot Mercato” sports website said that the agreement to extend Benzema’s contract has already expired, and the 35-year-old will extend his contract for one season with Real Madrid until June 30, 2024.
The site added, “After the news that revealed the interest of the Saudi club Al-Nasr to include Benzema in its ranks, according to our information, everything has already been completed between the various parties, and the extension of the Real Madrid captain’s contract will be announced soon.”

He pointed out that the player who won the Golden Ball award for the year 2022 is very linked to Real Madrid, and his goal has always been to end his career in Madrid.
Karim Benzema’s contract – who has been playing with Real Madrid since 2009 – will expire next June, but he has stated more than once previously that he wants to retire from the Spanish capital.
In turn, the French sports account of Radio Monte Carlo confirmed that following announcing his international retirement, Benzema agreed with Real Madrid to extend his contract for an additional year.
The French radio website said, “Benzema will extend his contract for an additional season with Real Madrid and will sign until 2024, as the French striker does not see himself leaving Real Madrid, especially since he has always expressed his desire to end his career in Spain, and he remained to find common ground with Madrid.”

“Monte Carlo” stated that the retired French striker scored 44 goals in 46 matches he played with Real Madrid last season, and led the royal club to crown the European Champions League 14 times in its history.
