Al-Marsad Newspaper: A personal status court in Western Saudi Arabia ruled to prove the lineage of a twenty-year-old Saudi girl to her father.
In detail, a female citizen filed a lawsuit before the court and stated that she had given birth to two sons and a daughter from her ex-husband, and that he recognized his two sons, the eldest and the youngest, and refused to recognize his middle daughter. According to Okaz.
The court asked the mother regarding the reason for filing the lawsuit from her and not from the aggrieved daughter, being an adult, and the mother replied that her daughter does not want to file a lawsuit once morest her father out of politeness and the absence of disputes, and she cannot file a lawsuit due to the lack of a civil record.
The citizen presented the marriage contract, the divorce deed, a copy of the birth notification certificate in the hospital at the time of her daughter’s birth 20 years ago, the newborn’s registration certificate, and proof of receipt from her father at the time.
The court established the lineage of the twenty-year-old girl to her father, and a deed was issued to that effect, and the ruling became final.
