(PLO)- Hearing the fire notification from the victim’s family, the leader of the inter-family team quickly extinguished the fire and saved people with the people.

On January 15, the police of District 12, Ho Chi Minh City said that the fire prevention and fighting team had just promptly controlled the house fire at a house in Song Hanh alley, Tan Hung Thuan ward.

Before that, around 1 o’clock at night, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, the leader of the Inter-Group 8, Quarter 6, woke up because the phone rang.

A woman named Lan, who lives 4 blocks away from Mr. Nghia’s house, panicked and shouted to report that there was a fire in the house.

Mr. Nghia immediately rushed out of the house, rang the alarm for the whole family and hurriedly took the fire extinguisher and hammer to the scene, shouting.

Looking up at the first floor of the house, Mr. Nghia discovered 2 adults and 3 children trapped. Meanwhile, smoke rose violently from the ground floor.

The man and the people used a hammer to break the door. When he discovered the fire point in the electrical outlet, Mr. Nghia used a fire extinguisher to control it and lead the two motorbikes out.

Due to the “golden moment” treatment, the fire was extinguished following a few minutes. Thanks to that, 5 members of the victim’s family got out safely, minimizing damage.

“I think the people who died in the fire area were mainly caused by smoke, so I felt it was necessary to break the door and mobilize everyone to do so to let the smoke out and help the family get out,” Nghia said.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, up to now, District 12 has had 82 joint groups/80 neighborhoods established and put into operation. In the past time, there have not been any fire and explosion incidents in these groups and the houses adjacent to the group. This is the first time a fire incident occurred at a house close to the households of the Inter-Group and so it was also an opportunity for the Joint-Party to demonstrate the effectiveness of this model.
