La Jornada – Neighbors accuse Tabe for anomalies in the exercise of the participatory appeal

The president of the Community Participation Coordinator in Miguel Hidalgo, Heydi Jazmín Luna, accused the mayor Mauricio Tabe of not making transparent the exercise of spending around 20 million pesos from the Contribution Fund for Social Infrastructure (FAIS).

In an interview, Luna – who was elected by the majority vote of residents of the 89 neighborhoods in the demarcation – said that despite the fact that she had requested information from the mayor’s office for months to find out the detail of the expense, to date there has been no response. to requests.

He listed that, according to some of the neighborhood leaders, it was learned that a part of the FAIS resources were allocated to the remodeling of the Torres Demet, Loma Hermosa and Lomas de Sotelo housing units, for which reason he criticized the fact that there is no known support for the vulnerable population.

He announced that he will file a criminal complaint with the Attorney General’s Office and an administrative lawsuit with the Comptroller General’s Office “for failing to comply with the FAIS’s operating rules.

“In the mayor’s office there is no transparency in budget spending, there is no response even if the information is requested in writing. Budgets are not being made transparent.”

He added that the projects of the participatory resource of 2021 and 2022 were not respected and were changed by the officials of the mayor’s office, while of the 89 that were winners last year, none have been completed, when they should have been completed on December 31.

He mentioned the case of the project in the Ahuehuetes neighborhood, of which he is a resident: 57 luminaries were placed, “of which 16 do not light”, in addition to the fact that 60 posts would originally be installed.

He assured that some representatives of the companies contracted by the mayor’s office to execute the participatory budget projects “can no longer be found”, criticizing that “we did not find out that tenders were opened or they were contested and now it seems that they are ghost companies”.
