New planet discovered by James Webb Space Telescope

The James Webb Space Telescope, developed as a follow-up to the Hubble Space Telescope, was launched in December 2021 and began observation using the main sensor from July 2022. Then, on January 12, 2023, it was reported that LHS 475b, a previously unknown planet outside the solar system, was observed.

The newly discovered LHS 475b is 99% the size of the Earth and orbits a red dwarf star every two days. Because of this, the surface of LHS 475b is several hundred degrees hotter than Earth’s. However, since the red dwarf star that LHS 475b orbits is considerably cooler than the Sun, it has been pointed out that LHS 475b may have an atmosphere.

According to the observation results of LHS 475b observed with the infrared spectrometer (NIRSpec) mounted by the James Webb Space Telescope, it can be seen that this place is a rocky planet. However, the composition of the LHS 475b atmosphere is still unclear. NASA plans to continue its analysis. Related information this placecan be found in

Through the period of monthly Aha PC and HowPC magazines, he has been watching the ‘technological age’ in online IT media such as GDnet, Internet manager of electronic newspaper, editor-in-chief of consumer journal Everz, publisher of Techholic, and editor-in-chief of Venture Square. I am curious regarding this market that is still changing with vitality.
