Trabzonspor regained its balance with a difficult victory over its guest, Istanbul Basaksehir, with two goals to one, in the 19th round of the Turkish Super League.

The defending champion entered the match burdened with a severe loss incurred last week once morest Alanyaspor by five clean goals. On the other hand, Istanbul Basaksehir is living a good period and presenting a distinguished performance that enabled it to win three times in the last four rounds.

The two teams played with great enthusiasm from the first minutes, and the guests were the most dominant and possessed the ball, at a time when the landlords relied on direct attack, but without any danger at first.

Trabzonspor was able to take advantage of his first real access to his opponent’s areas to score the only winning goal in the 21st minute from a powerful Greek ball, Anastasios Bakasitas, which goalkeeper Volkan Babacan failed to deal with, passing through his feet and settling into the goal.

Istanbul Basaksehir tried to catch up with many attempts, especially in the second half, when the horizontal bar of Trabzon’s goal was blocked by two very dangerous balls, which contributed to keeping its net clean until the end.

Trabzonspor now has 32 points, occupying sixth place, while Istanbul Basaksehir suffered its fourth loss in the league this season and remained third with 34 points.
