Four women and two children injured in shooting at church in central London | Abroad

Three women aged 21, 41, 48 and 54 and two girls aged 7 and 12 were injured in the shooting. The victims were immediately taken to hospital and are currently being treated there.

The 48-year-old woman suffered serious injuries. The 7-year-old girl is also seriously injured and is in critical condition.

The emergency services are on site. The area around the church has been cordoned off and the police are looking for the shooter or shooters.

“It’s a very busy place. All local residents immediately went outside to see what was going on,” says witness Simon Lamrock to ‘BBC’. “Everyone was shocked and amazed. Fortunately, the police and emergency services were on the scene very quickly.”

London Mayor Sadiq Khan described the incident as “deeply disturbing”. Khan says he is in close contact with the police, who have launched an investigation into the exact circumstances of the shooting.
