Fading Glory | the dresser

Very nice, I’m excited to present Fading Glory, a tiny collection me and his Sahar made with Angeli.

The literal meaning of the phrase Fading Glory refers to a fading glow. Allow us to disagree.
The places we love, the clothes we love, the people we love – only get better with time.

So what do we mean when we say Fading Glory?

A few years ago, Sahar and I went on a press trip together. We walked around a European city in the followingnoon and when the sky showed the first signs of sunset, we said almost together: we need to find a roof where we can drink wine.
This is where the dream began to write a book of recommendations together, and it was clear that when we got to the field of travel, the recommendations would focus on places that were once only used by the very rich, and today work magic on us. Fading Glory, Crescent called it. You know what we mean: Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, Bogart’s table and Cole at Club 21. Well, all those places Sofia Coppola likes to shoot her movies.

Crescent moon: “I started using the concept of Fading Glory when I was traveling in places like Cairo, Istanbul or Naples and I fell in love with places where it was obvious that the glory had passed behind them. I felt that it was precisely in such places, that obsolescence and the passing of the years sprouted from every corner of them, with the feeling that real people lived and live in them, that they are places where nostalgia is No A poster for tourists but comes from the use and the memories they have accumulated – that’s where the real magic lies.’
My: “I first heard this phrase from Sahar when we were traveling together and discovered that we were looking for the same thing in the places we were. The concept immediately connected to how I feel in general regarding things in life: when they are new and shiny they still don’t have the magic that speaks to me. I love the history and the feeling that things will only become more significant with time, the story we will tell regarding them and the emotional investment.”
my age: “I like that Fading Glory remains ambiguous and allows for personal interpretation, raises questions and evokes emotions. Angeli is a brand that strives to produce timeless clothing with an appreciation for quality and style, and Fading Glory is a concept that distills all of these because it has a story with complexity and humor. It is global, but very personal.’

What size to take? All items come up to size XXL, so you have the option to play with the sizes depending on what you prefer: close to the body or oversized to be swallowed inside.
for example: In the American shirt I took size L so that it sits close to the body and in the sweatshirt XL so that there is some space but it can still be worn under the jacket.
