Woman found dead in Ontario apartment

Halton Regional Police are investigating the death of a woman at a residence in Burlington, a suburb of Toronto, Ontario, in what appears to be a ‘homicide investigation’.

Officers moved to a Burlington apartment block around 11:30 a.m. Friday morning for a notice of an unconscious woman in one of the units.

They were able to locate the woman in her residence, and later confirmed her death.

During this investigation, the police arrested a 70-year-old man in connection with this incident.

He is currently in custody, and charges are pending once morest him.

“This incident was isolated to the residence of the apartment in question, the police are not looking for any additional suspects, and there is no threat to public safety,” the police said on the sidelines of a press conference. .

At the request of the victim’s family, officers do not intend to release the identity of the deceased woman.

They also did not mention any details regarding the method by which the victim lost his life, nor his relationship between her and the 70-year-old man.
