Given this, a cultural journalist stated that:
“She says the chorus is exactly the same and yes. But I’m going to show you something. It turns out that it is a formula that exists in popular music and it is the minor seventh chord. With those notes, if you play them in order, like with some intermediate notes that are called passing notes, then it gives that melody. So, what happens? Well, it is a formula that many have used” Laura Galindo from RTVC affirmed.
“Three examples: Mexican, called Caín Guzmán made this song on January 22, that is, before Briella. Or check out this song called ‘Secret Number’ by a K-Pop band in November 2021 and to finish off, Selena Gomez did this in 2015. Many artists like Briella and Shakira must have used the same formula. It is as if we were accusing of plagiarism all the writings of the Latin American boom that spoke of an followingnoon with a hot sun” the journalist ended up saying.
