Colombian singer Shakira launched a lyrical attack once morest her ex-partner, Gerard Pique, and his new girlfriend in her latest song, which was widely circulated in less than 24 hours following its release.
On Thursday, January 12, the Colombian star, Shakira, released a song attacking her former life partner and soccer player Gerard Pique. The work, which was listened to 34 million times in less than 24 hours, sparked wide reactions from netizens.
Comments and opinions centered on Shakira’s song, whose accounts are followed by tens of millions of Internet users, spread across the communication sites.
The lyrics of the song “BZRP Music Sessions #53”, which was written in collaboration with the famous Argentine producer, Bizarab, attacked Pique and his new girlfriend, 23-year-old Spanish Clara Xia.
“You go to the gym a lot, take care of your brain too,” says the song’s lyrics, which are dominated by electronic music with Latin percussions. (..) I will not return to you even if you cry and beg me.”
Is separation the subject of her recent songs?
And last Monday, January 09, a publicity campaign was launched for the song, which included the flight of a plane with a banner that read a phrase from the work (a wolf like me is not for a man like you) over the coastal resort of “Mar del Plata” in Argentina.
“BZRP Music Sessions #53” is the third song in which Shakira addresses her breakup with Pique, following “T-Felicito” and “Monotonia”. The love story between Shakira (45 years) and Pique (35 years) began in 2011, and resulted in the birth of two children, Milan (9 years) and Sasha (7 years).
After a relationship that lasted for more than ten years, during which they resided most of the time in Barcelona, the duo announced their separation in early June of last year. In November, they announced that they had reached a custody agreement for their two children. The singer, who is not bound by a marriage contract with Beckholm and shares any assets with him, still faces a tax evasion case in Spain, for which no trial date has yet been set.
