Fernández Oro confirmed the date of the municipal elections

The mayor of Fernández Oro, Mariano Lavin confirmed today at noon that the municipal government elections will be the April 16th. The decision was set through resolution No. 14-E/23.

On the indicated date the city will elect mayor and all the seats of the Deliberative Council and the Court of Accountswith their respective alternates.

The call is for all citizens in a position to cast their vote and registered in the Municipal Electoral Register, which includes young people from the age of 16.

The selected date coincides with the provincial elections, and Río Negro will vote on April 16 to elect the ownership of the next provincial government and, furthermore, the full renewal of the Legislature.

The convocation decree, signed on January 6 by Governor Arabela Carreras, provides for these simultaneous elections, although it also offers the provincial electoral service for on June 11 for those municipalities that cannot or do not want to share their process with the provincial.

Not only Fernández Oro confirmed that date, there are more than 15 municipalities that will have elections on April 16, the majority of JSRN. In addition to Viedma, Cipolletti and Catrielthe ruling party counts local elections in Regina, San Antonio, El Bolsón, Río Colorado, Choele Choel, Luis Beltrán, Dina Huapi, Cordero, Mainque, Los Menucos, Comallo and Pilcaniyeuall from JSRN.
