The Reddit thread started by user /1LastOutlaw has already accumulated dozens of responses reporting the same problem that still doesn’t seem to have a known cause. Fortunately the bug disappears following a few seconds and Apple has already acknowledged that the problem was caused by iOS 16.
Investigating reports on various forums, it is possible to deduce that the problem was caused by the iOS 16.2 update, but some iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max owners say they suffer from the same bug in previous versions.
One of the reports states that he has already contacted an Apple software engineer and was informed that the company is already working on a solution to the problem. In this way, the solution should be released by Apple in the coming days or with the stable version of iOS 16.3 that is already being tested and should be made available in early 2023.
