At least three people were affected by a propane gas explosion that occurred at noon in the kitchen of the fast food restaurant McDonald’s located on Baldorioty street in the urban area in Cayeyconfirmed the Police Bureau.
The complaint was reported at 12:44 pm today, Thursday, through a call to the 9-1-1 emergency system.

According to preliminary reports, an employee and two clients were affected. In addition, the Puerto Rico Fire Department Bureau confirmed in a tweet that two injured people were transported to the Mennonite Hospital in the municipality.
Staff from the Cayey Municipal Emergency Management Office mobilized to the scene to attend to the situation together with the Fire Department Bureau attend to the situation.
Drivers are urged not to drive through the area at this time as a precaution.
