The quarter-finals of the English League Cup, two of which took place on Wednesday evening, notably saw Southampton’s surprising victory once morest Manchester City, 2-0.

If Charles De Ketelaere played the whole game, first on the front of the attack then in a more creative role, his two compatriots had to give up their place in the second half. Alexis Saelemaekers left the field for Rafael Leao following 67 minutes, while Vranckx was replaced by Bennacer (83).
Torino are the second qualified for the quarter-finals following Inter, who fell Parma on Tuesday. The other six round of 16 matches will take place on Thursday and January 17 and 19.
