Thiruvananthapuram: As the second day of the Ranji Trophy cricket match once morest Services ends, Kerala has the upper hand. At the end of the second day, Services were 167 runs for the loss of six wickets. Services need 160 more runs to match Kerala’s score.
Kerala scored 327 runs in the first innings thanks to the batting excellence of Sachin Baby who scored a century. In reply, the openers put up a good performance for Services, who were batting. Openers Rohilla and Sufiyan Alum added 48 runs for the first wicket.
But Kerala took back the match by fielding spinners. Vaishakh Chandran got Services’ first wicket by dismissing Sufian. Ravi Chauhan was the only batsman who came following him. None of the others might find a high score.
Ravi Chauhan scored 50 off 114 balls but was dismissed by skipper Sjomon Joseph. Services can take the first innings lead only if they score 160 more runs with four wickets remaining. Therefore, Kerala has got a great opportunity. At the end of the match on the second day, Pulkit Narang scored 10 runs and MS scored eight runs. Rati is at the crease.
