“Venezuelans need decent salaries that guarantee food, health and quality of life”

Press release.- Bernabé Gutiérrez, National Secretary General of Acción Democrática and presidential candidate, stated that it is time for the National Executive to be honest regarding the level of income of workers in the country, adjusting the minimum wage according to reality and inflation.

“It is useless to talk regarding transformation, the relaunch of the economy and other benefits, if the workers have a derisory salary that translates into hunger, misery and need,” he warned.

Gutiérrez recalled that with the ADecos governments, life was always better, while emphasizing that parents supported their families only with the income from their work.

“We cannot start 2023, with that lead in the wing, each home deserves food, health, education, quality of life. The ordinary Venezuelan only wants a fair salary and buy what they want, in a few words have money in the pocket,” he said.

On behalf of Acción Democrática, I call on President Nicolás Maduro to take the appropriate corrective measures and measures so that stomachs are full in every home and do not crunch as a result of hunger and weakness.

Finally, he expressed his solidarity with all the unions who peacefully demand a fair salary that dignifies Venezuelan workers.
