The “Sadd” initiative in Sharjah Police recovers more than 565 million dirhams

SHARJAH, 10th January, 2020 (WAM) — The “Sadad” initiative launched by the Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Criminal Investigation and Investigation Department, more than a year ago through the wanted department, achieved success in recovering more than 565 million dirhams to their owners without referring them to the judiciary, at a rate of 45%. The total number of people who have been contacted to finalize the circulars recorded on them, in cooperation with the Public Prosecution, the Courts Department, and the Comprehensive Police Stations Department.

Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Head of the Wanted Department at the Criminal Investigation Department, said that the initiative was launched on March 1, 2021 AD, and its organization comes with the aim of providing the best services in accordance with standards of quality, efficiency, and transparency, ensuring the restoration of rights to their owners, as well as strengthening human relations and social cohesion, indicating that the campaign targeted those with circulars. The criminal investigation of the wanted individuals, where they are contacted to resolve the circular registered on them by reviewing the requesting authorities and working to pay them and follow them up.

Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi confirmed that the “Sadad” initiative culminated in tangible positive results through settling financial disputes, reconciling conflicting parties in related issues, and finding sound solutions to them, which contributes to preserving human relations and enhancing the security and community quality of life in the UAE.
