It’s official, the 7 channels of the Turner group are disappearing from the Canal offers.
Negotiations between Canal+ and the Turner group were ultimately unsuccessful. After announcing in December the possible disappearance of Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Boing, Toonami, TCM Cinéma, Warner TV and CNN from its offers while specifying that discussions were in progress, the Vivendi subsidiary informed on January 10 that the broadcast of these flows come to an end, for lack of an agreement.
The channels in question are currently announcing their withdrawal from Canal+ and myCanal offers on Twitter. The loss is heavy, especially for the TV by Canal package. While most channels remain accessible from other distributors, the Warner TV channel, launched in 2017, is disappearing from the metropolitan market for the time being. A return is however expected soon depending on the negotiations.
