For unions, inflation in Viedma was 118.86% in 2022

According to the survey carried out by the Scalabrini Ortíz Center for Economic and Social Studies, together with different unions of the Viedma-Patagones Region, the inflation of last December reached 5.69% and the accumulated during all the past year was 118.86.

The report is called “Food Basket Price Index in Supermarkets” of the Region and breaks down that a typical family of four had to spend $113,071, just on food, to exceed the level of indigence in December 2022.

According to the same survey the basic food basket in money increased 6,087 pesos compared to last November and an adult male needed 34,264 pesos to not be indigent, while an adult woman needed 26,383 pesos.

Among the largest increases recorded were the fresh food, with 4.73%; dry foods, 5.95; and beverages, with 6.39%.

Other data indicates that they were necessary 8.88 Universal Allowance per Child to cover the December food basket.
