Originally from Harlem, New York, Max B’s real name is Charley Wingate. In 1997 he was sentenced to eight years in prison for a robbery. In 2005 he was released. In 2009, Max B finally became 75 years imprisonment sentenced. He was convicted of a 2006 robbery he commissioned that ended in the violent death of one of the victims. Since then, Max B has been in prison. In 2011 he dropped his first album “Vigilante Season” from prison. In September 2016, his sentence was reduced to 20 years by a deal, only to be reduced once more to 12 years in 2019. This will end next April.
