Shin Yu-bin won first place in the group in the women’s doubles match with Jeon Ji-hee (31, Mirae Asset Securities) at the Durban World Championships Asian preliminaries held in Doha, Qatar on the 10th and won the right to advance to the finals in this event.

While the first place in the group tournament is given the right to advance to the finals, Shin Yu-bin and Jeon Ji-hee won 4-0 over India’s Srija Akula-Leet Tennyson in their last game.

In the mixed doubles pairing with Lim Jong-hoon (KGC Ginseng Corp.), Shin Yu-bin defeated the Kazakhstan group 4-0 and secured a ticket to the finals.

Shin Yu-bin was unable to show her skills last year due to a wrist injury, but this year, when she achieved significant results in international competitions from the beginning of the new year, expectations were raised to the fullest.

The national team secured all 6 World Championship doubles berths, including 2 where Shin Yu-bin collaborated with other players.

In the men’s doubles, Jang Woo-jin (Army Sports Corps)-Lim Jong-hoon pair and Lee Sang-soo-Cho Dae-seong (Samsung Life Insurance) pair will step on the world championship stage. Jang Woo-jin and Lim Jong-hoon, who won the silver medal in the men’s doubles at the 2021 Houston Games, also took the opportunity to challenge for the gold medal in two years.

In women’s doubles, Shin Yu-bin and Jeon Ji-hee, along with Choi Hyo-joo (Korea Racing Association) and Lee Si-on (Samsung Life Insurance), will compete in the world championships. In the mixed doubles, the ‘promising combination’, Cho Dae-seong (Samsung Life Insurance) and Kim Na-young (POSCO International), together with Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin, won a ticket to the finals.
