Iraq is the most importing country from Jordan in 2022

Baghdad / Obelisk: The Amman Chamber of Commerce announced, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, that Iraq came in the first place with the most countries importing from it during the year 2022.

“During the past year 2022, goods and commodities were exported to Arab and foreign countries, amounting to regarding 885 million dinars, compared to 740 million dinars for the same period last year,” the Chamber said in a statement.

And she added, “Iraq came first with the largest Arab countries importing from Jordan in terms of the value of imported goods in 2022, which amounted to 251 million dinars, followed by Egypt with 109 million dinars, Saudi Arabia third with 104 million dinars, and the UAE fourth with 94 million dinars, then Kuwait fifth with a value of 36 million dinars.

The Jordanian dinar is equal to regarding 70 US dollars.

And he pointed out that “the value of foreign products exports (re-exports) amounted to regarding 406 million dinars, industrial 210 million dinars, agricultural 159 million dinars, then Arab products worth 71 million dinars, and the rest is for many other different products.”

And she indicated that “the Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural and animal products and raw natural resources, and for foreign goods that are being re-exported and for foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions.”
