Television: Child star of “Eight is enough!” Adam Rich has died aged 54

Actor Adam Rich, a well-known boil in the world of the small screen, died on Saturday January 7 at the age of 54. He was found dead by a friend at his home in Los Angeles, California, when he came to visit. His relatives, who confirmed the news to TMZdid not disclose the cause of death.
Adam Rich was a child star in the 70s. Most famous for his role as Nicholas Bradford in ‘Eight is Enough!’ (1977-1981). In this American series regarding a widower, father of eight children, he played the youngest of the family. It wasn’t until 1985 that “Eight is enough!” was broadcast on French television, on TF1, notably at the “Club Dorothée”.

Dozens of TV appearances
After “Eight is enough!” Adam Rich starred in the ABC series “Code Red” in 1981, then in the sitcom “Gun Shy” in 1983 on CBS. He made appearances in “The Fun Cruise”, “CHiPs”, “Fantasy Island”, “St Elsewhere Hospital” or the fantastic comedy “Max and the Devil” (1981) alongside Elliott Gould and Bill Cosby. In 1993, we see him in an episode of “Alerte à Malibu”.
Among television personalities, Eric Murphy (“My Beloved Witch”), Jay Duplass (“The Mindy Project”) and Adam Baldwin (“Firefly”) have paid tribute to her. Lydia Cornell (“Jackie and Sara”) wrote: “Rest in peace Adam Rich. Such sad news. Left too early.”
