The latest leaks of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 are very surprising | Smartphones

Samsung has recently confirmed the release date of la gama Galaxy S23. The flagship range will debut on February 1. After confirmation of the launch of the series S23now rumors and reports are beginning to appear regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Flip 5. Among all the recent rumours, one report claims that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be slightly thicker and heavier than previously claimed. While this may be disappointing, it is expected to come with an S Pen slot and much better battery life.

Thicker, better battery and a very powerful camera

According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will slightly increase its thickness. The thickness has gone from 6.3mm to 6.5mm. This increase in thickness is perfect for housing a S Pen. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 it had support for a stylus. However, it did not come with a slot to hold it. That made users who relied on the S Pen carry it through other means.

On the other hand, the increased weight might hint at a bigger battery. This would allow the Galaxy Z Fold 5 to better compete with the Oppo Find N2. However, the report seems to link the weight gain to the camera sensors. That implies that the Z Fold 5 might come with a new and presumably bigger main camera.

Although there were already rumors regarding the front camera, allegedly Samsung has changed the 10 MP selfie camera for a 12 MP one in the Galaxy Z Fold 5. A smart way to compete in the future market where the photographic plot will be decisive for users and mobile device consumers.

What else do we know regarding Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5?

Galaxy Z Fold 5 will work with a chip Qualcomm of 4nm. The chip will reportedly be called Snapdragon 985 5G. And that doesn’t make any sense with the naming of the current flagship Snapdragon SoCs. Given current SoCs, we expected the Z Fold 5 to be powered by an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, as Samsung is doing with the Galaxy S23 series.

This leads one to believe that the reported Snapdragon 985 5G is nothing more than a test version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is possible that the Z Fold 5 incorporates an improved version of the 8 Gen 2. And it might also come with a improved version of the 8 Gen 2. In addition to the CPU and cameras, the latest rumors suggest the upcoming Z Fold 5 will have a less prominent fold. A firm commitment to the growing foldable mobile market that wants to conquer this hopeful 2023.
