‘Ginny and Georgia’ Season 2: ending explained
At the end of the second season of Ginny & Georgia, Georgia and Paul’s wedding is interrupted by Georgia’s shock arrest for the murder of Tom Fuller, Cynthia’s husband. Although Tom died early in Season 2, there didn’t appear to be any suspicions of foul play (other than by Gabriel Cordova, who has it in for Georgia), so Georgia’s arrest is shocking to everyone in attendance.
In the penultimate episode of season 2 of Ginny & Georgia, Georgia has a conversation with Cynthia Fuller that influenced her decision to kill Tom. Cynthia reveals the havoc Tom’s illness has wreaked on her and her concern regarding how it will affect her son’s perception of her father. Georgia empathizes with Cynthia, as she has also been very concerned that Austin has a good image of her father despite his own relationship with Gil, and so she kills Tom. This makes Tom’s murder different for Georgia, as her murder is out of pity and empathy rather than self-preservation or anger.
The questions that remain following the end of season 2 of Ginny & Georgia’
The season finales usually serve to tie up all the loose ends of the season, but the finale of the second season of Ginny & Georgia leaves more questions than answers. Most of the questions are related to the Georgia arrest. The biggest question that remains from season 2 of the Netflix series is what is going to happen to Georgia, as well as the question of how her crime was discovered, since no one witnessed it except Austin (accidentally). Another big question surrounding Georgia’s arrest is how it will affect her family and what will happen to the children. They’ve already been through some tough times since the incident with Gil, and the arrest of her mother adds even more stress.
Besides Georgia’s arrest, which is the biggest issue at the end of season 2 of Ginny & Georgia, there are several questions that the Netflix series leaves the audience with. The second most important question for the potential season 3 of Ginny & Georgia it’s whether Ginny and Marcus will rekindle their romance, or find new love interests. There are also other threats to the Miller family to consider, such as whether Gil might return despite the restraining order or what Gabriel might have told Nick. All leftover questions at the end of season 2 of Ginny & Georgia they give rise to a juicy montage of season 3, although time will tell if the Netflix series gets renewed.
